Diarrhea Planet Star as Exploding Toddlers in Hilarious ‘Babyhead’ Video

Diarrhea Planet 'Babyhead' Video

If the name didn’t tip you off, SPIN faves Diarrhea Planet have pretty good senses of humor. That’s on display in their new video for “Babyhead,” in which they update their old family movies by superimposing their current-day faces on their infant bodies. It’s a pretty literal take on the power-punk track from their second LP I’m Rich Beyond Your Wildest Dreams, a combination of the Bronx’s “History’s Stranglers” video, which has the same adult-heads-on-children visual effects, and the home movies in “Son of an American” by the So So Glos, who joined Diarrhea Planet at SXSW for a cover of the Beastie Boys’ “(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party).” Also in Austin, DP added to their ever-growing cred by performing Tom Petty’s “Refugee” with none other than Melissa Etheridge. Check that one out below.
