See Dave Grohl and Taylor Greenwood ‘Sing You to Sleep’
Foo Fighter helps Los Angeles singer-songwriter out on a charity single
If you don’t know Taylor Greenwood, you’re forgiven. The Los Angeles singer-songwriter has fewer than 100,000 views on YouTube — most of those coming from covers — but Dave Grohl is trying to change that. The Foo Fighters boss and Nirvana drummer (and Sound City director, and Zac Brown Band collaborator) appears in the intimate video above to help perform a song that he wrote with Greenwood, “Sing You to Sleep.” Sales for the dreamy lullaby will fittingly benefit Project Night Night, a charity that delivers care packages stuffed with toys, books, and blankets to homeless children.
The song is offered at a pay-what-you-want rate through Greenwood’s website. According to Rolling Stone, who premiered the video, Grohl was so moved by one of the artist’s recent performances that he introduced himself and offered to help out with her debut album.
