Watch ‘Broad City’ Spoof Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott, and Drake
Comedy Central stars deposit "eight f---ing thousand dollars" to "Started From the Bottom"
The main characters on Comedy Central’s Broad City generally spend their time stoned and broke, so it’s appropriate that they’d celebrate a check for “eight fucking thousand dollars” in a grand way. Stars Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer do their best impressions of Missy Elliott and Nicki Minaj in a fantasy sequence that opens the March 19 episode, expertly mimicking the former’s classic garbage-bag outfit and the latter’s over-the-top style. To add a cherry on top, the whole thing is set to Drake’s “Started From the Bottom,” making the whole check-cashing sequence even more absurd. Check it out above and catch Broad City at 10 p.m. on Wednesdays.
