Watch Bob Mould Compel ‘Letterman’ to ‘See a Little Light’

Bob Mould plans to release a new studio album on June 3, but the alt-rock icon dipped into his past last night on the Late Show With David Letterman. In honor of the 25th anniversary of his debut solo LP, the recently reissued Workbook, Mould performed “See a Little Light,” a jangly anthem found on his first post-Hüsker Dü effort. And, just as in his last appearance on Letterman, Mould delivered a powerful performance with support from Superchunk/Mountain Goats drummer Jon Wurster and bassist Jason Narducy of Verbow and Spl:t S:ngle. Watch the clip above and find Mould’s upcoming tour dates below.

The 25th anniversary reissue of Workbook is out now in double-CD and double-vinyl formats thanks to Omnivore Recordings. Beauty & Ruin, Mould’s forthcoming follow-up to 2012’s Silver Age, is on the way via Merge Records.
