Stream Black Eyes’ Final Show 10 Years Later
Dischord Records shares audio of post-hardcore group's swan-song(s)
Ten years ago today (March 26), Washington, D.C.’s Black Eyes played their final show. The post-hardcore outfit, which formed in 2001, called it quits after performing at the Black Cat on March 26, 2004, roughly two months before the release of their second (and final) album, Cough. To commemorate the anniversary, Dischord Records has shared audio of the five-piece’s final engagement. Clocking in at just over 72 minutes, the mostly muffled recording captures Black Eyes’ frenetic strain of high-minded, jazz-informed art-punk. Salute Black Eyes by streaming the set below.
