Py Soundtracks Bummer Valentine’s in ‘Swimming Slow’ Video

Py 'Swimming Slow' Video Single

London’s Py is blessed with a deeply soulful coo and an ear for richly produced bass music that matches the mood. Her forthcoming single “Swimming Slow” encapsulates that dynamic, with producer Starsmith providing a swirling storm of downbeat snaps and swells over which our hostess sings, “If I found it, would it be the right fit? / I have grown.” The sentiment is echoed in the video above, in which a spurned lover stalks the city streets at night in search of some catharsis. Py eventually provides that via a very unlikely venue, as a general Only God Forgives vibe prevails. “Swimmingly Slow” gets an official release on March 10 via MTDL_RCRDS (via Madtech/Champion), and will come backed with remixes by Citizen, Sweater Beats, Gang Colours, and Throwing Snow.
