Hear Highasakite’s Dreamlike Voyage to ‘Iran’

Highasakite

Norwegian fivesome Highasakite‘s psychedelic new track “Iran” is a booze-filled bender, complete with marital infidelity and possible dismemberment. Featuring swirling synths and a thumping beat, the track hits a glittering peak thanks to the ethereal voice of frontwoman Ingrid Helene Håvik and a bout of Bulgarian throat singing — but that’s par for the course for this group. Highasakite is all about echoing, hypnotic lyrics and invigorating bursts of energy.

Fresh off the release of the In and Out of Weeks EP, and a Norwegian Grammy nomination, the single is a sign of what’s to come from the band’s forthcoming debut, The Silent Treatment, due via Propeller Records on March 4.
