See Disclosure and Sam Smith Lock Down ‘Latch’ on ‘Fallon’

Disclosure, Sam Smith, 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,' "Latch," 'Settle'

Sibling U.K. dance-floor whizzes Disclosure know how to fold pop singers into their tracks without overwhelming their own personality, as last year’s fantastic Settle confirms. One of the best and earliest examples is “Latch,” which features ascendant London singer-songwriter Sam Smith — who also recently joined them on a track with Daft Punk pal Nile Rodgers — and came out before U.K. top 10 hits “White Noise” (feat. AlunaGeorge) and “You & Me” (feat. Eliza Doolittle).

Following a three-night stand at New York’s Terminal 5, Disclosure and Smith brought “Latch” to Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night, and the performance was impeccable, with Guy and Howard Lawrence behind their keyboard setups and Smith the black-coated crooner out front, the brothers’ signature ghostly-faced projection darting about behind them throughout.

Over the weekend, Disclosure also brought out none other than Mary J. Blige for a Sting-attended rendition of Settle‘s “F for You” — watch that below. And speaking of guests, Jimmy Fallon himself has booked U2 as the first musical guest when he takes over The Tonight Show.
