Mac Miller Gives ‘Kimmel’ a Mini Concert, Iron & Wine Cover the Pogues on ‘Fallon’

Mac Miller will soon capitalize on his newly cool status with Live From Space, a live album recorded during this summer’s Space Migration Tour that features Odd Future affiliates the Internet. To promote the upcoming effort, which drops on December 17, the 21-year-old rapper played a five-song suite for the crowd at Jimmy Kimmel Live! For his December 11 performance on the Sony Outdoor Stage, Mac pulled heavily from his sophomore album, this year’s Watching Movies With the Sound Off. The Pittsburgh MC played LP cuts “Objects in the Mirror,” “Watching Movies,” a blend of “The Star Room” and “I Am Who I Am (Killin’ Time),” and “S.D.S.,” along with the Lil Wayne-featuring Macadelic track “The Question” (sans Weezy, sadly). Spot “Objects in the Mirror” above, then scroll down for the rest.

Jimmy Fallon, meanwhile, welcomed Iron & Wine, Calexico, and folk singers Kathleen Edwards and Glen Hansard on Late Night. The musical guests all crowded the NBC stage for a stirring rendition of the Pogues’ 1987 Christmas classic “Fairytale of New York.” Find some holiday heartbreak at the bottom of the post.
