For Twin Shadow’s latest UNDR THE CVRS video, ’80s expert George Lewis Jr. reimagines a classic from the Reagan-era: U2’s intimate yet arena-sized torch song “With or Without You.” The Confess crooner trades the original’s plodding drums for robo-percussion, replaces the probing bass-line with low-end synths, and favors pitch-warped vocals over Bono’s chest-beating hollers.
