Arcade Fire dropped the whole “We’re the Reflektors!” schtick on November 19 for an appearance on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show. The Canadian collective played a short (but still kind of long) live set at Maida Vale Studios that included renditions of “Afterlife,” “Reflektor,” and “Normal Person.” Frontman Win Butler also followed up his last chat with Lowe by sitting down for an interview alongside his wife and bandmate, Régine Chassagne. Indie rock’s First Couple discussed their particular brand of “heady body music,” how Reflektor fits into the loose trilogy established on their first three albums, working with James Murphy, and more. Hear it all by streaming the broadcast below. And don’t worry — no dress code required.
