Queens of the Stone Age recently teased that “something… ghoulish” would happen when they unleashed their interactive music video for …Like Clockwork single “The Vampyre of Time and Memory” on October 30. Well, it’s now October 31 and the video still hasn’t dropped — note the “Coming Soon” promise on the project’s official website. QOTSA did, however, drop by Conan last night to perform the horror-rock ballad just ahead of Halloween. Decked out in a suit and seated at a blood red piano, SPIN cover star Josh Homme commanded a chilling rendition of the track; backed by carefully doled out doom’n’gloom, the frontman’s voice morphs from bruised vulnerability to large-looming menace. Watch the clip above, and stay tuned for Queens of the Stone Age’s impending “The Vampyre of Time and Memory” video.
