Lady Gaga’s EDM-Pop ‘Artpop’ Track ‘Swine’ Purportedly Leaks

Lady Gaga, "Swine," 'Artpop,' stream

Another legit-seeming track set for Lady Gaga’s Artpop has surfaced, and it continues the Mother Monster’s embrace of full-on, where’s-the-drop electronic dance music of the post-Skrillex persuasion. “Swine,” slated as the ninth song on the November 11 album, assails someone who is “a pig inside a human body” over sleek, festival-ready propulsion. Intriguingly, Gaga’s voice leans a bit Lana Del Rey-ward when the beats cut out over the chorus, a little husky and expensive-accented — particularly noteworthy considering the chart success of Cedric Gervais’ EDM-ized “Summertime Sadness” remix. The official tracks to emerge from Artpop so far are the similarly EDM-y “Aura,” the Purity Ring-remixed “Applause,” and eff-the-haters R. Kelly duet “Do What U Want.” Gaga says on Twitter that today she’ll play penultimate Artpop track “Gypsy” for the first time, live on piano, during her listening party at Berlin’s famed Berghain club.
