Grooms Are All Like, ‘Yeah Science’ in ‘Infinity Caller’ Video

Grooms 'Infinity Caller' Video Album

Grooms sneaked out their third album-length foray into art-damaged slack-rock last month, but it’s not too late to enjoy what Infinity Caller is offering. The 11-song set is streaming in its entirety at Noisey, and the same site has now dished up a new video for the record’s titular track. Above, you’ll find main man Travis Johnson locked in the lab, experimenting with various unusual substances under the watchful eye of his microscope. Through him, we see all sorts of unexpected slides, ranging from beautiful crystalline structures to constantly changing patterns to illustrations of boxing amoebas. (Yeah science!) Meanwhile, we hear “Infinity Caller,” a song gifted with raw bass, arpeggiating guitar, persistent percussion, warm electric hum, and Johnson’s cooling vocals. Revisit “I Think We’re Alone Now,” and hit Noisey to hear the rest.
