Watch Savages’ Smoldering, Gross-Out ‘Husbands’ Video

savages, husbands, video, silence yourself

Savages’ experimental “I Am Here” music video rotted that song from the inside-out with an outré recording process, but the London post-punks have taken a more traditional approach with their latest clip. That said, the just-released video for “Husbands” — a relentless standout from Savages’ Mercury Prize-nominated debut album, Silence Yourself — is still plenty unsettling. Directed by John Minton, the short cuts together static-y footage of the band’s intense live show with close-up shots of maggots, worms, and volcanic imagery. Steady your stomach, press the play button above, and delve into the black-and-white abyss.
