Stream Happy Noose’s Horror-Punk Storm ‘Amagosa’

Happy Noose

Gloom-punks Happy Noose will follow up their 2011 self-titled debut album with a pair of upcoming EPs. The first, Amagosa, arrives October 1 via Dead End Social Club Records and brings with it three new original songs and a cover of Joy Division’s unreleased “Pictures in My Mind.” (The second, Haunted, doesn’t yet have a release date.) If that nod to goth-rock’s glory years isn’t enough of a signpost, explore the Washington trio’s darker new direction on the Amagosa EP’s title track. Frontman Ryan Scott’s deep, monotone vocals underscore the churning, proto-punky doom he brews with the help of guitarist Timothy Grisham and drummer John Dahlin. Dive in below.

Pre-orders of the Amagosa EP, which was produced by the Fucking Champs’ Tim Green (previous credits: Bikini Kill, Melvins), are currently available through Bandcamp.
