A$AP Rocky and Rihanna Shop the Expensive Way in ‘Fashion Killa’ Video

A$AP Rocky’s “Fashion Killa,” a gauzy standout from last fall’s lackluster LONG LIVE A$AP, lyrically name-checks Rihanna, Madonna, and Nirvana, along with a whole host of fashion designers. The In Utero reissuers‘ inclusion is the most intriguing: “She trippy like Nirvana / ‘Cause everything designer,” Rocky raps, with undeniable logic. But, with the Material Girl busy desecrating Elliott Smith, RiRi was the only name-dropped artist to show up for the song’s video, which recently premiered on BET.

Rocky is appropriately grateful, taking the Unapologetic singer to look at high-end clothing worthy of the song’s lyrical references. It could be the opposite of Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop,” if that makes it more appealing to you. The track comes with Rocky fresh off the R. Kelly-tweaking “R. Cali” and a big speech in Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” video. Rihanna, for her part, currently has the Internet going nuts with Twitter beef involving a singer named Teyana Taylor.
