International Cassette Store Day takes place on September 7, and organizers have announced many of the limited-edition releases planned for the anachronistic holiday. Despite its ultra-nostalgic intentions, the upcoming event is actually promising a fairly fresh lineup of exclusives. Among the highlights: 2013 SPIN Essentials the Flaming Lips’ The Terror and Deerhunter’s Monomania, Justin Vernon-led Volcano Choir‘s impending Repave, Los Campesinos!’s recent A Good Night for a Fistfight live album, Guided by Voices’ English Little League, Haim‘s 2012 Forever EP, Fucked Up’s Hidden World from 2006, and Animal Collective’s 2004 landmark LP, Sung Tongs.
