Foxes’ ‘Youth’ Gets Trap-Step Treatment From Faustix & Imanos

Foxes Youth Remix Faustix Imanos Stream Louisa Rose Allen

London-based singer Foxes is on one incredible rise. She’s racked up collaborations with Zedd (“Clarity”), Rudimental (“Right Here”), and Fall Out Boy (“Just One Yesterday”) that are as memorable as they are monumental, and her 2012 Warrior EP has been shared and remixed just about every way imaginable. Now, the 24-year-old Southampton native born Louisa Rose Allen is gearing up for a 2014 album debut with RCA — but first, October 8 will yield the Youth EP, which will feature that titular song reworked by the likes of Breakage, Seamus Haji, and Danny Howard.

In honor of the occasion, we’ve got an exclusive remix to share courtesy of Danish progressive house merchant Faustix and Vancouver trap-step specialist Imanos. The pair are fresh off of their own Echoes short-player, and here lace Foxes’ original with stuttering grooves, epic synths, and rapid-fire effects. Allen’s voice is still devastatingly effective amidst the crossfire as “Youth” evolves and builds toward a sizzling close.
