Tinie Tempah Brags About His Banksy Collection With 2 Chainz on ‘Trampoline’

Tinie Tempah, 2 Chainz, Diplo, Trampoline, Banksy

If you’re lucky, you remember Tinie Tempah from “Pass Out,” his fantastic debut single that went No. 1 abroad in 2011. If you’re like most if us, however, you know the British rapper from “Written in the Stars,” his terribly treacly third single that was nearly a Top 10 hit in America. (Sigh.) His newest release — the first from his upcoming sophomore album Demonstration — splits the difference as far as quality goes. With a production assist from Diplo and a cameo from 2 Chainz, “Trampoline” sprouts from the same branch of bubbly beats that yielded Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now,” Wale’s “Slight Work,” and Major Lazer’s “Bubble Butt.” Unfortunately, Tempah doesn’t quite have the dexterity to pull off the type of flow necessary to make these songs fly — though he does get points for bragging about getting “hand prints on my Banksy” — and 2 Chainz kinda phones it in. Above, you’ll find the “lyric video,” which is actually a live-action music video that happens to features lyrics for some reason.
