Rhye Elude the Camera in Sultry Television Debut

Rhye maintain mystery in their live shows. When the lush electronic duo — composed of Quadron’s Robin Hannibal and vocalist Mike Milosh — played New York’s Le Poisson Rouge back in April, they kept the venue so dark it was nearly impossible to see anything. Viewers who caught the show via NPR’s webcast could make out the silky grooves and Milosh’s androgynous vocals, but the performance itself wasn’t much to look at. The electro soulsters took the same silhouetted approach while making their television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night (July 8). Obscured by blinding blue light, the Los Angeles pair played “The Fall,” a piano-driven seducer off their sublime debut album, Woman. Hannibal and Milosh may not be visible in the above clip, but they’re baring it all in front of the nation.
