Daughn Gibson Unveils Boozy, Bluesy ‘Kissin on the Blacktop’ Video

Whiskey, women, and weirdos feature in singer's ode to barroom romance

Daughn Gibson fittingly chose to film the official video for his gutter blues track “Kissin on the Blacktop” in the type of bar where you can get a shot of whiskey just as easily as getting a pool cue broken over your head. The former trucker from Pennsylvania menacingly mugs at the camera, surrounded by a rough-looking cast of the dive’s regulars as he sings about a booze-fueled romance.

The song comes from Gibson’s pretty solid second album and Sub Pop debut, Me Moan, out now.
