Watch Beyonce Flawlessly Sing ‘Halo’ With Her Hair Caught in a Fan

Beyoncé, "Halo," hair, caught, fan

If angels really do have glowing rays around their heads, they may be familiar with Beyoncé’s recent onstage mishap. As NME reports, the singer was performing “Halo” during a concert in Montreal last night when her gleaming tresses got caught up in the blades of a fan. The video footage of her gamely belting out the ballad from 2008’s I Am… Sasha Fierce as guards try to untangle her is striking enough, but “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” star also managed to poke fun at the snafu in a hand-written note she posted in an Instagram photo. “Gravity can’t begiiiiiiin to pull me out of the fan again / I felt my hair was yankiiiiiiin / From the fan that’s always hatiiiiiiiin,” she wrote, preempting all bloggers’ attempts at jokes. She further explained, “I got snatched.”

It’s still unclear when Beyoncé’s next album will arrive, but the 4 singer has been anything but quiet lately. Over the weekend, she and Jay-Z attended a New York City rally honoring Trayvon Martin. Her Super Bowl halftime show recently picked up three Emmy nominations. And during another recent concert in Atlanta, Queen Bey demanded that an audience member “put that damn camera down.” He complied. So: Beyoncé can defeat camera-waving fans, and Beyoncé can defeat weave-snatching fans. Basically, if you’re a fan of any kind, you’d best sit back and enjoy the show without incurring her displeasure, because she’s going to power through regardless.
