See the Postal Service’s Underwear in ‘A Tattered Line of String’ Video

The Postal Service have successfully parlayed a decade-old, one-off album into an festival-headlining live show, all on the strength of 10 weak-kneed, digi-pop tunes. Now, the electro duo have shared a music video for one of their two newly released songs, “A Tattered Line of String.” The above clip takes a romantic cliché — having your world turned upside-down by a lover — and puts a literal spin on it, flipping one poor mope’s reality on its axis.

This just-unveiled visual comes ahead of the Postal Service’s long-overdue television debut. Tomorrow night (June 19), Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello, along with backup players Jenny Lewis and Laura Burhenn, will appear on The Colbert Report

Right now, the Postal Service are touring in support of the deluxe 10th anniversary edition of their lone studio album, 2003’s platinum-certified Give Up. Find dates below. Oh, and did we mention Death Cab for Cutie are working on new material?
