Good news: Big Boi’s knee surgery hasn’t prevented him from enjoying the good life. For the video of his new single “The Thickets” — one of the best tracks off his most recent solo album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors — Big Boi doesn’t let crutches and a knee brace deter him from lolling around the Tybee Island shore near Savannah, Georgia. He even spots a dolphin, which seems like the ideal scenario for animal-assisted therapy. The Atlanta legend destroyed his knee after an ill-fated jump on May 31 during a concert in Ilinois, forcing him to postpone his “Shoes For Running” Tour with Killer Mike. June’s shows have been rescheduled for September, with dates to be announced shortly.
In the meantime, fans can download Run the Jewels, the new album from Mike and El-P, which sports the Big Boi-featuring “Banana Clipper.”
