Destiny’s Child Kinda Reunite for Kelly Rowland’s ‘You’ve Changed’

Destiny's Child Kelly Rowland 'You've Changed' Beyonce Michelle Williams

First things first, Kelly Rowland wants you to know that “You’ve Changed” is not a Destiny’s Child track. To wit: “It’s not a Destiny’s Child track,” she recently told Billboard. “It’s me featuring Beyoncé and Michelle.” Secondly, kudos to Rowland because even considering the tinny quality of the radio rip streaming below, this is better than a Destiny’s Child track — better than “Nuclear” at least. And since the group that also launched the careers of Beyoncé Knowles and Michelle Williams didn’t exactly thrill us at their big Super Bowl Halftime show, perhaps maintaining a healthy distance is the best look for the semi-reunited trio. Each worked in a separate studio to record her part of the brand new breakup song, which is set to appear on Rowland’s Talk a Good Game, due June 18 via Universal Republic. The constituent parts of Destiny’s Disavowed Child all deliver stunning vocal performances over the mellow R&B production, but Bey takes the cake about halfway through when she wails with supreme swagger: “But you let the ball drop / Too bad for you / It’s okay, boy, I’m straight / My whole life’s amazing.” Who could argue with that?
