We haven’t had a new full-length from Cass McCombs since 2011’s Wit’s End and Humor Risk double-helping, but the mysterious singer-songwriter will soon drop a previously unreleased track, “Three Men Sitting on a Hollow Log,” as part of a split 7-inch with hard-traveled folk legend Michael Hurley. Secret Seven Records will issue the limited pressing sometime in July, but fans can hear McCombs’ shaggy, homespun contribution right now.
