Hear Snoop Lion and Miley Cyrus Fill Up ‘Ashtrays’ Over ‘Heartbreaks’

Snoop Lion Miley Cyrus 'Ashtrays and Heartbreaks'

To borrow from the lyrics of “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,” is there any possibility that anyone feels like Miley Cyrus? You know, that nagging “my buzz is gone and I need to re-up on reality” vibe? Thankfully, Doggfather Snoop Lion totally gets it — that’s why he’s rolling blunt after blunt after blunt after blunt. After all, this is a song about mourning. These two are gonna need Danny Brown amounts of weed to get through.

Thanks to Major Lazer’s mastery of dub-addled pop production (see the magnificent “Get Free”) this odd couple sound oddly in sync, with Cyrus doing her best Rihanna-via-Stefani thing and the Boss Cat stonily singing about the confounding mysteries of the human condition: “Seems like everyday we puttin’ more 6 feet underground / So blessed, what goes up must come down.” Not sure what that means, but the answer’s probably in the ashtray.

And yes, the Police’s Stewart Copeland is on percussion duty. Duh.
