Foals cheated bloggers out of an easy headline this morning by opting not to play “Late Night,” the latest single off the Oxford five-piece’s third album, Holy Fire, on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night (April 9). Instead, the Yannis Philippakis-led rockers performed a throat-shredding take on lead single “Inhaler,” followed by a taut rendition of second single “My Number” that was heavy on funky rhythms but light on the music video’s hallucinogenic effects.
