Stream Emma Louise’s Smoky, Synth-Streaked ‘Mirrors’

Emma Louise

Emma Louise hasn’t even issued her debut full-length in the U.S. yet — the Australian singer’s first album, vs. Head vs. Heart, arrives on May 21 via Frenchkiss Records — but the Brisbane-based talent has been building an audience in her homeland for several years, thanks in part to 2011’s Full Hearts and Empty Rooms EP. Just stream “Mirrors,” a cut off the upcoming vs. Head vs. Heart, for proof of Louise’s wise-beyond-her-years craftsmanship: that hypnotic blend of smoky vocals, restrained percussion, and fluttering synths couldn’t come from some rookie.
