Hear Demon Queen, Tobacco and Zackey Force Funk’s ‘Rude Boy’ Electro Project

Demon Queen Tobacco Zackey Force Funk 'Rude Boy' N8NOFACE

We already know that Black Moth Super Rainbow mastermind Tom “Tobacco” Fec occupies a weird world (via erotic centaurs, Bob Seger), but we didn’t realize how quickly his sphere is expanding. BMSR’s Cobra Juicy dropped less than six months ago and already we have a fresh Tobacco solo track (the Daft Punk take-down “Lipstick Juicy”) and a brand new spin-off project. Demon Queen is the scuzzy electro-funk alias of Fec and falsetto fiend Zackey Force Funk. The latter hails from Tucson, Arizona, and aligns himself with the left-field hardcore crew Machina Muerte (posse boss Isaiah Toothtaker dropped his Gunplay collab with SPIN yesterday). Together they make music tailored for a roller-disco populated exclusively by the misfits from The Warriors — tough stuff with a whole lot of style.

The pair will release their debut LP on Tobacco’s Rad Cult label July 9. Below you can stream and download the first taste from Exorcise Tape, a rugged synth-dripper called “Rude Boy.” Fellow Machina soldier N8NOFACE delivers a guest verse about what happens when the track’s titular fella fires off his shotgun in the middle of a party.
