Chance the Rapper Ab-Soul 'Smoke Again' Acid Rap

Ever since SPIN dropped our own Hottest MCs in the Game list, Chance the Rapper has been going out of his way to prove us right about his placement therein. As the striking Chicago talent gears up for the release of his Acid Rap mixtape — out today (April 30) — he’s shared the playfully swaggering “Juice” and the John Legend-featuring “Good Ass Intro,” not to mention “NaNa,” the video for which found the young rapper and comedian Hannibal Buress hilariously spending their $5,000 budget on random crap in Los Angeles. The winning streak now continues with “Smoke Again,” a collaboration with Black Hippy star Ab-Soul that includes an incredible line cross-referencing drugs and geometry: “Lean all on a square / That’s a fucking rhombus.” The video comes courtesy of ILLROOTS, who laces the horn-dappled track (via Blended Babies) with so much pot smoke that the stuff billows out of the frame. Enjoy that above, and hit our pals at Vibe for a brand new interview with Chance.

Also, just ’cause we haven’t shared it yet, here’s “Acid Rain” from the new tape:
