Watch Justin Timberlake Dance Through the Saddest Hall of ‘Mirrors’ Ever

Justin Timberlake had a big day today (March 19). The suave “Suit & Tie” singer released his first studio album in seven years, the soon-to-be-twice-as-long 20/20 Experience; two bonus tracks from the newly dropped LP surfaced online; and the former ‘NSyncer just debuted an epic music video for second 20/20 single “Mirrors.”

The eight-and-a-half-minute clip — reportedly dedicated to Timberlake’s grandparents, William and Sadie — cleaves into two. Part one tells a decades-spanning love story, from two young people’s meet cute in a billiard hall to their life together as an elderly couple. The latter half focuses on JT himself, as he dances his way through a hall of mirrors, moping over a mysterious woman on the other side of the glass.

All in all, it’s an ambitious, touching, on-the-nose video that feels like two separate pieces glued together — a fitting reflection of “Mirrors.”
