Justin Bieber Hospitalized After Collapse at London O2 Arena Concert
Pop singer still finished the show before leaving
Justin Bieber has been taken to a London hospital after he collapsed at his O2 Arena concert tonight. As TMZ reports, he’d previously said that he felt woozy, then stumbled backstage and passed out with four songs left to go. He was immediately given oxygen from emergency workers and then insisted upon finishing the show, which he did. Afterward, he was carted away to get more complete medical attention.
“Justin’s got very light breath,” manager Scooter Braun told the crowd after Bieber exited the stage for the first time. According to the Hollywood Reporter, he spent about 20 minutes recovering behind the scenes. “The whole show he’s been complaining, He’s backstage with the EMTs and the doctor. They’re telling him that they want him to go see somebody and see what’s going on with his lungs.”
The Biebz upset his British Beliebers on Monday night by hitting the O2 stage two hours late. And as Perez points out, he’s been spotted twice now sporting a gas mask in London. Perhaps what’s been “going on with his lungs” involves a certain combustible plant with known pharmacological effects. But hey, he’s been through worse, including SNL, a castration-kill plot, and a Twitter beef with a Black Key.
