Cloud Nothings: Watch Pink and fun.’s Nate Ruess ‘Just Give Me a Reason’ Video

In SPIN’s review of Pink’s The Truth About Love, we called “Just Give Me a Reason,” which features fun.’s Nate Ruess, “a poor attempt at a Ryan Tedder slow jam.” The video for the latest single off the pop star’s sixth LP doesn’t really change our minds. Pink and her hubby Carey Hart float on a swampy, cloudy set, alternately snuggling on a bed and making out in the water while Ruess pops up on an olde fashioned TV. What’s the point? We’re not sure there really is one, other than Pink demonstrating she can cast her hot motocross-star beau in anything she likes. The fantastical clip actually plays up the song’s Meatloaf tendencies, which we’re not sure is a good thing, either. But both singers are nominated for Grammys at this weekend’s ceremony, so it’s not an unwise time to remind the world of this team-up, even if the vid adds up to less than the sum of its parts.
