Peter Gabriel purist Twin Shadow dropped a dramatic remix of Sky Ferreira’s “Everything Is Embarrassing” today (January 18), and well, it sounds like something else. George Lewis Jr. turns one of SPIN’s 40 Best Songs of 2012 from a mellow slice of electro-pop into a synth-warped throbber full of chopped’n’clipped vocals. Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes may have crafted the original fit for the playground, but this new one breaks out the velvet, roping things off for the V.I.P. section of the club circa 1995. Hear it below.
