Animal Collective, Youth Lagoon, Dan Deacon, and More Climb Onto Treefort Fest Lineup

Boise, Idaho’s second annual Treefort Music Fest is set for March 21-24 and Animal Collective, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Youth Lagoon, Dan Deacon, THEESatisfaction, and more have been added to the four-day event’s lineup.

“Conceived as an extension of the current momentum in the Boise music scene and art scene at large,” reads the festival’s website, “Our vision is that Treefort will provide the opportunity for Boise to play host to the national and regional music scenes while showcasing a lot of our own up-and-coming talent as well.” 

Also scheduled to perform: Sage Francis, Delicate Steve, Japanther, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Foxygen, Shlohmo, Shigeto, Widowspeak, Bad Weather California, White Lung, French Horn Rebellion, Wooden Indian Burial Ground, Emily Wells, Naomi Punk, Digital Leather, Radiation City, Pickwick, LAKE, SISU, the Pharmacy, SUBLIME FREQUENCIES, Grass Widow, Magic Sword, Wampire, the Heligoats, SW/MM/NG, Messy Sparkles, the Brothers Comatose, Lynden Williams, James Plane Wreck, Campfire OK, the Last Bison, NUDE POP, Kris Orlowski, Thollem Electric, Stickers, Pony Time, Hang Time, Ugly Hussy, BOYS, Lionsweb, Terrible Buttons, the Dodgy Mountain Men, and more yet to be announced.

Tickets currently range from $99 to $199, but as of February 1, $99 four-day wristbands will go up to $109. Treefort takes place in various venues and spaces throughout downtown Boise. An announcement regarding this year’s locations is forthcoming. Last year’s festival featured performances from Built to Spill, Of Montreal, WHY?, EMA, Blitzen Trapper, and AraabMuzik.

A way-in-advance launch party is planned for Friday, January 18, at the Sapphire Room at Riverside Hotel with sets expected from Flashlights, Shades, and Lamont Kohner. Watch Treefort’s two monster movie-themed lineup announcement videos above and below.
