Jack White has an exquisite case of the jitters. The former White Stripes frontman brought Little Willie John cover “I’m Shakin’,” the latest single from solo debut Blunderbuss (SPIN’s #35 album of the year) to Conan last night. His all-female band the Peacocks backed him on the frenetically quavering blues scorcher, leaving the black-suit-wearing White free mostly just to howl, save a wonderfully addled guitar solo. It takes a supremely road-tested rocker to convey nervousness so persuasively. You might break out in a cold sweat.
