Titus Andronicus Diss Hipsters in ‘Still Life With Hot Deuce and Silver Platter’ Lyric Video

Titus Andronicus Still Life with Hot Deuce and Silver Platter Lyric Video

Titus Andronicus’ third album of bar blooze and Jersey punk, Local Business, is due out October 22, but you can hear new song “Still Life with Hot Deuce and Silver Platter” right now, thanks to the karaoke-ready lyric video above. The highly cynical, arguably hipster-baiting single — let’s not forget that the title translates to “steaming pile of elevated dung” — takes shots at “relevant dudes” and singer Patrick Stickles’ own “authentic self,” and eventually appears to inhabit the perspective of an ad man interested in exploiting lesbians and Mexicans. To get a sense of the bigger picture, revisit Local Business’ bulldozing first single, “In a Big City.”
