James Murphy ended LCD Soundsystem with a blow-out show at New York's legendary Madison Square Garden in April 2011, but fans haven't been willing to let go of his beloved disco-rock band that easily. Since the group's split, listeners have devoured the documentary Shut Up and Play the Hits, which tracks the events surrounding that final gig, and now photographer Ruvan Wijesooriya is offering an even deeper peek behind the scenes with a new photo book simply titled LCD (published by powerHouse Books) that looks back at the group's entire history. "Ruvan has been getting in my face for years. He has taken several thousand pictures of LCD over the last few years, and he whittled them down to literally hundreds for this book," Murphy writes in the intro. "We were a band, and these pictures make it clear we were a band."
