Last week epic trio Gorillaz/James Murphy/André 3000 released “DoYaThing” via Converse’s “Three Artists, One Song” program as an extended 13-minute track filled with dozens of “splooshie-sploosh” and “bloop-de-bloops” (and, yes, 68 instances of the word “shit,” mostly from pottymouthed Three Stacks). Now the ever-visual ‘Rillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett has dropped a five-minute video for the song in which lead avatar Stuart “2D Pot” lurches around the band’s homebase on Wobble Street, ducking his crappy roommates. There’s some full-on cartoon pissing and a bowl full of ears. Plus the Limited Edition Chuck Taylor Gorillaz sneaker is brandished as a weapon, though we assume they’ll probably be more useful on your feet.
