Linus Booth and Chris Macintyre’s Jokers of the Scene have drawn notice in recent years for their expansive remixes for bands like Salem as well as their own heady electronic-music productions. On January 17, the Canadian duo goes wild with the release of a new EP, JOT5, a trippy blast of eerily blissful synth voyages and rave-ready beat (a week later, remix EP J0T5 RMXD will arrive). “Black Mountie,” from the former, encompasses both.
