Huntsville, Alabama is the home of the U.S. Space and Rocket Center and its massive, 363-foot-tall Saturn V. But as David Peisner writes in Rocket Men, there are more stars on the ground in the 180,000-person city now than ever before thanks to a shockingly vibrant rap scene that’s been expanding in the past decade. At the center of it all is G-Side, whose November disc Islands is one of the most anticipated albums of the year. ST 2 Lettaz and Yung Clova took SPIN on a tour of their home base, giving us a close-up look at the record shop that stocks their local favorites and the studio where all the magic happens.
