You’ve likely heard Raleigh Moncrief’s work without knowing it. The California native has played guitar in Marnie Stern’s touring outfit, collaborated with Zach Hill and Youth Lagoon’s Trevor Powers, and co-engineered Dirty Projectors’ 2009 art-pop splash Bitte Orca. This year has seen the release of Moncrief’s own Watered Lawn, a rambunctious full-length effort that features the cortex-searing soul of “Castout for Days”. Check it out here and grab Watered Lawn when it arrives next week via Anticon.
