Big Boi is not heading to the Big House: The OutKast MC has accepted a plea deal that allows him to avoid jail time on drug possession charges stemming from an August arrest in Miami, the Associated Press reports. In a courtroom today, Florida prosecutors outlined the arrangement, which includes three months of drug testing, community service, and $2,000 in charitable donations for the 36-year-old rapper born Antwan Patton.

Big Boi was arrested on August 7 as he disembarked a cruise ship. Customs and border patrol dogs sniffed out 10 and a half unprescribed Viagra pills, three pills of suspected Ecstasy, a cigarette roller with marijuana residue, and 5.7 grams of MDMA. He was briefly held on $16,000 bond and faced two felony drug charges that will be dismissed if he remains drug-free for three months. In a statement to CNN in August, the MC’s lawyer Daniel Kane said the rapper was traveling with friends and the contraband was found in the “collective luggage.” “I am confident when the entire facts are aired Big Boi will be completely exonerated,” Kane said.

After his court appearance today, a triumphant Big Boi tweeted an inspirational bible quote:”God is Great! God is light. There’s no darkness in him — 1 John 1:15″ — a far more sober note than the one he tweeted just after his arrest, which read, “They said it was the Love Boat.”
