Coldplay took to the Late Show With David Letterman Tuesday night to perform “Paradise,” from their October 24 album Mylo Xyloto. Watch it below, via the Audio Perv.

Singer Chris Martin sat at the piano while laser lights beamed out from behind the band. Freed from their Viva La Vida-era martial uniforms, the t-shirted Martin & Co. projected the kind of relaxed confidence that inspired mass singalongs only a couple of months ago during their Lollapalooza set.

Mylo Xyloto will also feature a duet with Rihanna, among other surprises. Fans who pre-order the album from the iTunes Store receive a download of “Paradise.” Others songs unveiled so far include “Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall,” which Robyn has wonderfully covered, and “Major Minus.”

“This album was fueled by a desire to move from black and white into colour,” Martin says in the official media biography for Mylo Xyloto. “Or, if you like, we decided to let our garden grow a little more unkempt. The bloodhound was let off its leash.”
