Los Angeles' rock radio station KROQ 106.7 FM held its annual summer kickoff party, Weenie Roast, Saturday at the sold-out Verizon Wireless Amphitheater a 16,000-capacity outdoor venue in Irvine, CA. The brutal highway traffic on the 405 was well worth the bill: the Strokes, Linkin Park, Bad Religion, Airborne Toxic Event, Cage the Elephant, and Neon Trees all brought sweaty, high-energy sets underneath the blazing Cali sun. Even better: Foo Fighters capped off the day with a surprise set!
