Corgan and Bjork Reveal New Album Details + More

  • Billy Corgan posted the track listing for Smashing Pumpkins‘ fall album Oceania on Twitter. The titles are tentative, but judging by their names, the record looks to be epic. “Quasar,” “Glissandra,” “The Chimera,” and “Panopticon” are among the dozen songs in the works.   • For her seventh release Biophilia, Björk will put out the songs via iPad, which will feature music videos and 10 separate apps housed within one “mother” app. Tne song “Virus” will even feature a gaming element, where users will have to halt the attack of a virus on a cell. Biophilia will also be released on a conventional CD. [The Guardian]

  • Flaming Lips, Crystal Castles, M83, Battles, and Passion Pit are set to headline this year’s Moogfest, the annual North Carolina bash that honors synthesizer pioneer Robert Moog. No-wave icons Suicide will also be appearing, performing their classic 1977 self-titled debut in its entirety. Tickets for the event, which takes place in Asheville, NC, from October 28-30, go on sale June 4. [Moog Fest]

  • Odd Future‘s MellowHype – the side group featuring Hodgy Beats and Left Brain – will reissue their debut Blackenedwhite on July 12 on Fat Possum. The record, which was originally released via the group’s Tumblr, will feature previously unheard tracks and artwork designed by the duo.

  • For his video “Marijuana,” Kid Cudi has teamed up with actor Shia LaBeouf to deliver a tribute to the pot capital of the world: Amsterdam. Check it out below:

  • Synth-pop upstarts Foster the People will hit the road for a 17-date fall tour behind their debut album Torches, which debuted this week at No. 8. The trek kicks off September 13 in Scottsdale, AZ, and wraps up on October 12 in Portland, OR. [Foster the People]

  • Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter IV has had its release date bumped from June 21 to August 29. In the meantime, Weezy is set to release a new single on July 4. [XXL]

  • St. Vincent will return with a new LP titled Strange Mercy on September 13. The set features 11 tracks, including collaborations with Midlake‘s MacKenzie Smith and Beck keyboardist Brian LeBarton.
