Wanda Jackson and Jack White Heat Up ‘Letterman’
Watch the Queen of Rockabilly and the White Stripes guitarist team up for hot Late Night performance.
Seventy-three-year-old Wanda Jackson’s incredible comeback continues: the Queen of Rockabilly hit up Letterman last night with collaborator Jack White and his Third Man House Band (in Ben Sherman suits) for a smoking performance of Johnny Kidd and the Pirates’ 1960s hit “Shakin’ All Over.” The performance was so hot, it nearly left Letterman speechless: “Oh my god! Holy crap! Whoa!” he said afterwards, before insisting they continue playing to close out the show. Watch below.
Jackson just released her killer new disc The Party Ain’t Over and the pair are hitting the road for a few dates, which are posted below, and performing on Conan on January 25. In the meantime, check out Jackson and White’s awesome new video for their cover of Bob Dylan’s “Thunder on the Mountain” here.
