Killers Top Lolla Chile, Dalle & Homme Baby + More

  • The Killers, Jane’s Addiction, and Kanye West will headline the inaugural Lollapalooza festival in Santiago, Chile. Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Flaming Lips, Cat Power, and the National are also among the more than 50 acts confirmed for the fest, which takes place April 2-3. Tickets are available here.

  • Josh Homme and Brody Dalle are expecting their second child, Dalle revealed on Twitter. “I am up the duff 3 mo’s aka bun in the oven, seed in the pumpkin, squid in the ocean, lotion in the basket, hole in the donut,” she wrote. The baby is due on August 11.

  • Simian Mobile Disco have started up a series dubbed “Fresh Meat Mondays,” where they’ll release new songs, remixes, and live tracks each week. Pick up the first installment “Live at Sziget 2010” here. [via Some Kind of Awesome]

  • Gladys Horton – lead singer of the pioneering girl group the Marvelettes, who scored Motown’s first No. 1 hit with “Please Mr. Postman” – died on January 26 after suffering a stroke. Horton was in her mid-sixties. [The New York Times]
